As some of you may know, I own a Chevy SSR. Anyway while defending its truck abilities on the front page I came across this sweet rig. The paint is a little overdone but do want.

I'm not the biggest SSR fan but damn that is a neat looking rig!

Thats awesome!
V8 power, full frame, has a bed, and towing capabilities. Seems like a truck to me.

Does SSR stand for anything?

These to me are kind of like the Aztec, I'm not supposed to like them, but deep down there is something that draws me to like them. And yes, I just said I like Azteks.

Kinda figured it might be Super Sport something. Thanks. What kind of load carrying capacity do they have? Don't see many of them on the road around here. Sure see a lot of HHR's though.

I'd imagine it's similar to the 2wd Trailblazer with the 5.3, that's what the SSR pretty much is. Not sure about LS2 models.

Mrs. Blacktruck loves SSRs, not enough to replace her Volvo with one (I have tried numerous times though) we test drive one once and I liked it quite a bit. They're like a fancy El Camino.

That shiny airstream is awesome, so are SSRs. If I was going to cross the country, that's probably how I'd do it; in style.

GVWR of 6050
Car weighs about 4700 (yeah a bit fat)
So 1350 payload. Not bad.
They are only rated to tow 2500, but thats limited by the weird low profile trailer hitch they installed from the factory. People put trail blazer hitches and towed a lot more.
